I was born and raised as an only child in the state of Illinois, with my parents. I am married, and have 3 children.

My name is Vonna Contino Maslanka My journey into the world of design began in 2005. Without a jewelry design background, I decided after thirty five years towalk away from my day job. I've never looked back.

Simplicity is not in my vocabulary, and I feel I have a distinctive, eclectic style. I use only high quality elements: artisan lampwork glass beads, sterling silver, gold, Austrian Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gemstones along with interesting found objects all handpicked by me. I also incorporate components from vendors I trust, my local bead shop and of course the occasional dumpster.I have always been determined to push the limits. I take life as it comes to me; straight on.

Lamp work bead artist and jewelry designer Marilyn Peraza has said, her inspiration comes from within her soul, her surroundings, as well as what ever lies ahead of her in life.

I design what I imagine. Asymmetry and a keen eye for color are my trademarks. I feel that learning is a process and perfecting the techniques I use can be a challenge.
It this challenge that I find so exciting and fulfilling. Putting my own spin on the design comes from my imagination and my life experiences. I never make the same piece twice and you will always see something different in my artistic world.

"Peace is the key to one's heart"
The instinct to express peace, compassion and love is the essence of life in its purest form. We must also have great dreams and goals beyond our reach. When we meet a goal, it encourages us to further explore the boundaries and try to go beyond them.

Inspiration can come from the tiniest morsel of human affection. I guess this leaves me with one crucial quest; can you conquer your dreams?Jon McEachern, July 5th 2005 ©

My new journey shall be dedicated to my (angel) son: Jonathan McEachern and also to my husband Ed, and to my other two children,
Katerina and Michael whom I love so very much.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you stop back again soon. Feel free to leave comments as feedback is important to me.
