~Just Vonna~ "That's Me!~
My name is Vonna Maslanka ~ I was born and raised as an only child in the state of Illinois, with my parents. I am married, and have children.
With no formal instruction, in 2003 I started designing jewelry. My specialty is within the design and creation of Unique Asymmetrical US Artisan torch annealed lampwork glass bead jewelry.
When I started designing jewelry in 2003, to understand I knew the medium I was working with, I participated in a small glass making bead workshop, this one little workshop changed my entire thinking process along with the appreciation of the glass bead makers.
During a visit in 2005 with my one son who is a Fiber Artist in Kansas City, we attended the Bead Bazaar at the ISGB annual “Gathering”. Instead of buying beads, I bought glass, took another class and am having a blast creating my own torch annealed lampwork glass beads her in my own studio at my home.
I had the good fortune of gaining knowledge from the lampwork glass bead making with the instruction of Loren Stump, Anastasia of Germany & Kimberly Affleck.
I am a member of the Bead Society of Greater Chicago & The International Glass Bead Society.

I design what I create, what you see is what you get, learning is a process, perfecting the technique can be a challenge. Putting my own spin to the design is why I love to create.
Thank you for the visit, I hope you stop back again soon.
